Things to do before I die

Saw D’s blog entry on “Things to do before I die” only to realize that I haven’t written mine. We were talking about this over MSN and promised to list the items down in our blogs. So here it is, my list:
1. Obtain a diving license
2. Climb Mt. Kinabalu
3. Travel to Japan and Greece (Santorini Island)
4. Start [...]

Roaring Tiger Year!

It’s funny to see how all of us reacted when one of my colleagues said that it is advisable to do some transactions at bank today (first day of spring 立春), particularly depositing money or a cheque to your own account as it symbolizes good fortune and wealth for the rest of the year.  The [...]

Memorable CNY Reunion Dinners

This coming CNY we will be having our reunion dinner at a Chinese restaurant. It’s our second year of doing that in fact. I know it’s a trend now for families to have their reunion dinner at restaurant instead of home.  Many are starting to do that because:

the family size is getting smaller and smaller, [...]

Once Upon A Time…

Was tuning in to the radio on my way to work today and it was a pleasant surprise to hear an old song from my high school time.  It’s an old cantonese song from my idol Jacky Cheung, it’d instantly reminded me of many sweet old memories.

He’s my first love.  He’s tall and handsome, just like how many romance novels [...]

Blessed

I am very touched to receive many wishes on SMS and messages on FB.  Some are ex-colleagues, some are ex-school mates, some are families and relatives… and most of them are FRIENDS.  I am blessed.  Indeed.
Thanks everyone for your wishes!

The World is Spinning

Just came back from seeing a doctor near my workplace.  I have been experiencing dizziness since last evening.  And the symptoms were worse when I lied down and closed my eyes.  Whenever I moved my body I can feel like the world is spinning and I feel better with my eyes open and sit up/stand up.  [...]

Mentally Tired

Felt very tired lately, not physically but mentally.  I had a conversation with my sis recently and she felt the same thing too.  But she is more serious, really at the border of breaking down already because she is under a lot of pressure from the boss since early of the year.  She works as [...]

Monday Blue

I should be working now but I really don’t feel like working.  Still Monday blue-ing as usual and it did not help that I just received some not very pleasant emails from a not very nice client since morning.  What a start for the week!  Really feel like escaping work and go home NOW.
Anyway, had a [...]

An Unusual CNY

Tomorrow is the 15th day and with my sis making her way back to Aus it officially marks the end of celebration for CNY for the year.  This was a rather unusual CNY for me.  First of all, this was the first year without grandma.  Everyone used to gather at grandma’s place for lunches, dinners and [...]
