New Year, New Start.

Started the new year with a new job.  Was suffering from insomnia the night before starting work, I even dreamt of getting to work late on my first day of work.  Think I’ve been resting for too long

Overall the office environment is good, warm and cozy, and the colleagues are nice and friendly.  [...]

Self-Service

Now everything can be DIY.  We have a internal web-portal called PeopleSoft where we as an employee can have access to basically everything with regards to ourselves: personal information, bank account information for payroll, monthly payslips, leaves applications and records, and you can even do e-Resignation online.  How easy, just click the button when you [...]

Marketers vs. Consumers

Was telling my ex-colleague yesterday, I now have to do data entry myself!  Yesterday we hired a few freelancers to call our customers hoping to get some quick feedback on a new package that the content strategy people has come up with.  So I had to design a short questionnaire for that, and later on did the data [...]

Broadcasting.. Day 2 at Work

So far so good!  Though not particularly impressed by their speed of doing things.  I only got my email set up by lunch time today, and I’m using an old & super slow laptop because mine one just being ordered (and I thought I signed the letter in July).  And to my horror, I can’t [...]

Last Business Trip

Travelled down south to attend a client’s new product launch on Thursday.  Nothing to shout about on the event, but I’m still a little emotional about it as this would be my last business trip before I leave the company.  Stayed in the Thistle Hotel (formerly was Hyatt Hotel) in JB - it’s new and the look-and-feel [...]

Looking Back…

I was asked to set up a few jobs before I leave the company by mid Sep because these are very urgent jobs (which jobs weren’t?) and we are short of manpower now (as usual).  But I take it as a good way to say goodbye to my research career in agency.  All the things that I’m doing [...]

CS = Client Service = Cheap Slave

TIRED of servicing clients. Especially the demanding, unreasonable and those that think-they-are-god kind of clients. Is it because they didn’t realize the power of words? Why do they have to write very harsh and sarcastic emails? Don’t they know what is ‘RESPECT’? They put all those in black and white, do they expect people will [...]

Mentally Tired

Felt very tired lately, not physically but mentally.  I had a conversation with my sis recently and she felt the same thing too.  But she is more serious, really at the border of breaking down already because she is under a lot of pressure from the boss since early of the year.  She works as [...]
